Weddings

wedding01What do you remember most about the last wedding you attended? In a recent survey, the number one detail that brides were most fearful about, regarding their reception, is their guests not enjoying themselves and leaving early.

We understand that for most people, choosing a DJ or band is a very difficult and yet very important decision. What do you ask? How do you determine who is really good since everybody CLAIMS to be “the best.”

First, ask around. People in the industry should know your entertainment company, their owners, and their staff. If not, why don’t they?

Next, do your homework. This is not a decision which can be made over the phone, any more than you would choose your dress or your photographer by phone. There is a big difference between a person that happens to be available and the correct dj for your wedding day. Ask if you can meet them.

Does the band that you are considering have a current video, photographs, and a comprehensive play list that is consistently updated? Again, there is a huge difference between a band that your parents may like and one that you may like. Ask to see a current playlist.

Last, check references. Find out WHY the client loved their entertainment. Talk to several of their references. This day is too important for you not to check references.
